My Hair Routine

So I thought I would share my hair routine as I do have very long hair and a very sensitive scalp so I thought I would let you know what I do on a daily basis. My hair can also get greasy pretty quickly so I do have some ways which I try to manage that.

I start by using the TRESemme Natural Moisture Shampoo which is £4.50 from Boots. I like this because it does not irritate my sensitive scalp and always leaves my hair fresh and clean. I just take quite a lot around a palmfull and massage it into my roots and down into the ends of my hair too. I then leave it for around 3-4 minutes and rinse it off.

Sometimes my hair can get damaged and dry on the ends but I do not like to condition regularly because it makes my scalp greasy. So what I do is use this Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo around every 2-3 days to give the ends of my hair some moisture. I simply apply a small amount into the ends of my hair working it up the hair but not to the roots at all. You can buy this shampoo at Boots for just £2.69.

I will wash my hair every morning before college or work and either let it air dry or use my hair dryer which is a few years old now and I think is the same as this one, the Mark Hill Salon Professional Power Dryer which is £17.99. I like it because it dries my hair really quickly and and just really simple to use and mine is Zebra print which I do kind of like.

Then I will brush my hair using my Tangle Teaser which although it may seem expensive for a hair brush it is soo good at getting the tangles and knots out of my hair. Because my hair is so long I need a good hair brush and this defiantly does this well. I bought an orange one from Boots for £10.99.

Finally I will usually just leave it down naturally as I don't really like to have my hair up because it gets uncomfortable and ends up looking messing. Or I will plait my hair in a side braid as this is super easy and half way through the day I can take my hair out and it leaves a natural curled look. Or finally if I want to make my hair curly I will usually use the VO5 Smoothly Does It Curl Defining Mousse which you can buy from Boots for £3.79. I will add a palmful of the mousse into the lengths of my hair and either scrunch my hair upwards or twist it around my finger and hold either of these methods for a while and it will give a lovely natural curl. The fist scrunching method will give a more messy style whereas the twisting method will like loose ringlet curls.

I hope you liked this post my hair routine is pretty simple and I try to avoid using any heat on my hair as much as possible. Let me know what products you like to use on your hair.

Max Factor Face Finity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 foundation

So I thought I would share with you all a new foundation I have been trying out for the past few weeks, which is the Max Factor Face Finity, in shade warm almond 45. So far I am liking it but I'm still not sure if it will replace my all time favourite Revlon ColorStay. But there are defiantly pros and cons to each foundation.
I like this foundation as it is super dewy and does not stick or cling to dry patches, I love the fact that it is a 3 in 1 (acting as a primer, concealer and foundation) but I do still need to use concealer over the top on some blemishes and redness I may have. But I do use less concealer when using this foundation compared to my Revlon ColorStay. I also find it to apply really smoothly so it does act as a primer which I really can tell. Also I do find it to last really well, much better than my Revlon ColorStay.
The only reason why I am unsure is because of the coverage I think I need the full coverage of the Revlon ColorStay but sometimes it can become a little cakey and wear off unevenly throughout the day. But the Max Factor 3 in 1 has a medium coverage which can often be a little bit too light for me. Also the Max Factor is a perfect match to my skin tone whereas I find it Revlon ColorStay to be a little bit light for me and the next shade up is too dark (I have the shade 110 Ivory). I also prefer that the MaxFactor one has a pump so it is easier to control the amount that you use and it makes the whole application less messy.
You can both of these foundations at boots and superdrug.

Revlon ColorStay

Max Factor Face Finity

Overall I do like both foundation and I might even try mixing them both together but I will update you on that if I find that works well for me or not. My next foundation I have in my draw to try is the Bourjois healthy mix foundation. Let me know in the comments what your favourite foundation is as I would love to try some of your suggestions!

Morning Skincare Routine

So I thought I would share with you my morning skincare routine which is pretty simple because I never really have much time in the morning to get ready so this is really easy and affordable to try out.

Firstly I use the Vitamin E Gentle Facial Wash in the shower I just wash my hands, squeeze some of this in my hands and simply massage it into my face in circular motions for around 2 minutes. It is only £8.00 which is pretty affordable and I think it is nice and moisturising if you have dry skin.

http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/vitamin-e/vitamin-e-gentle-facial-wash.aspx

Then when I am out of the shower I use the Tea Tree Water from Lush I either just squirt this onto my face and let if dry or I take a cotton pad, spray it onto there and dab it onto my face. I really like this product as it is nice and fresh and I really feel like it helps to wake up and revitalise my skin. This is just £7.50 which is not bad as it is antibacterial which can help to fight and prevent break outs. But you can also buy a smaller version for just £3.95 which would be great to try it out.

https://www.lush.co.uk/products/tea-tree-water

Finally I use the Nivea Pure & Natural Soothing Day Cream, which is nice a moisturising and acts as a nice base to smooth out my skin before applying make up. This is super affordable as it is only £5.35 but it always on offer in supermarkets and superdrug, and a pot really does last a long time. I have probably repurchased this product around 10 times that is how much I like it and think it does its job well!

April Favourites

Its time for a monthly favourites it has been a month of trying new products that's for sure and here are my main favourites of the month.

My first favourite is this scarf/snood which is from Primark and I think it was around £4.00. I love how I can have a simple basic and comfy outfit and this snood can make it look so much more put together. I must admit I have an obsession with daisy prints at the moment!

My next favourite from the month of April has been the Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid With Organic Lemon Oil, this is very hydrating and does help to keep my lips looking healthy. I apply this before I go to bed and in the morning before I apply make up. It is £9.18 which is quite expensive for a lip balm but it is super good and this has lasted me ages I got it in November using my boots points, using it twice daily and as you can see I still have plenty left!

I have been obsessed with this ligloss all month and it is Tanya Burrs Lipgloss in Aurora as it is such a lovely bright colour which is really easy to wear with any make up look. Whenever I am unsure of what lipgloss to go for I think I will always reach for this one! This is also affordable for just £6.99 and I bought mine from feelunique

My Next favourite has been the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, which I love to use to blend in my foundation using it either damp or dry gives a lovely coverage and finish. I think it is worth the money as it will last and gives a much more natural finish than applying foundation with your fingers. I bought mine from boots for just £5.99.

As I said have been loving the Real Techniques Sponge to apply my foundation and this is the foundation I have been using the MaxFactor Face Finity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation. As I love the finish this foundation gives and it is a medium coverage which I like. I am going to post a full review on this foundation soon. I bought this from Boots for £11.99 in the shade warm almond 45.

I have loved my new bracelets from George at Asda as I like how I can either wear just one, all three or mix them up depending on the outfit and look I am going for. My favourite has been the rose gold one as it is just gorgeous although it looks more coppery in the picture. These are not on the Asda website but I know that they are still available in my local store so it would be worth taking a look if you like them too.

I have also been loving the MUA blusher in Bubblegum as it gives a lovely bright colour without being too over the top. I find it will instantly make my skin look a lot healthier and awake. For just £1.00 it is defiantly worth a try, you can buy it from Superdrug.

Finally my last favourite has been these shoes from New Look, as they go with everything and are really comfy and easy to wear. They are like the TOMS style but for just £8.99 they are a lot cheaper although I dont know how much longer they have left but still for the price you can really complain. I cant find these on the website any more but I these are the same style.

So this has been my monthly favourites let me know what you have been loving down below in the comments, thanks for reading.

BodyShop Haul and mini review

I recently order a few bits from the Body Shop as they had 40% site wide and they do currently have 35% when you spend £5 of more, which expires on the 12th of May, so it is always good to order when they have discount.

I will start with the only make up item I ordered a Colour Crush Lipstick in 215 Innocent Pink which was £10.00 originally without discount. So far I am loving this lipstick it is a very natural colour with good pigmented and lasts about a few hours before the colour has gone completely.

http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/make-up/lips/colour-crush-lipstick.aspx

Now onto skincare, firstly I ordered 2 cleansers an oil and a butter.

The Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter which is £12.00 without discount and the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil which is originally £10.00. So far I am in love with both of these products and I am currently using them both together starting by using the oil to remove my make up and the butter to deep cleanse to make sure all of the make up and general dirt is off of my face.

http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/skincare/cleansers/camomile-sumptuous-cleansing-butter.aspx
http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/camomile/camomile-silky-cleansing-oil.aspx

Next I bought the Vitamin E Gentle Facial Wash £8.00 I do like this product as it make my face feel nice and clean but I isn't anything amazing and you can probably get something to do the same job for a lot less money.

http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/vitamin-e/vitamin-e-gentle-facial-wash.aspx

I also bought the Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil, £12.00 which I like it is good and putting the moisture back into my skin after cleansing. I love how it gives my skin a plump texture and appearance making it look a lot healthier.

http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/vitamin-e/vitamin-e-overnight-serum-in-oil-28ml.aspx

I also ordered the Tea Tree Oil which is normally, £7.00. I have been using this either in my moisturiser or on a cotton bud onto any blemishes and it has been helping a little but  has not doing anything great either.

http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/tea-tree/tea-tree-oil.aspx

So that is everything that I ordered overall I do recommend the body shop as a brand and if you do go into store they will be happy to help to find whatever you are after whether it is make up, skincare, bath and body or even fragrance etc. I cant wait to try more products from the brand.
I hope you have enjoyed this post and let me know if you would like to see my skincare routine? Or what your favourite body shop product is or if there is any that you want to try?

Thanks x

My Make Up Essentials (a make up kit for beginners)

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Hi, so this post is about what make up I can not go without on a day to day basis, with particular products that I find to be the best. All of which will  be from the drug store/high street so super affordable so wouldbe perfect if you where on a budget and just starting out with make up!

Foundation

My first essential is foundation, this is a real must for me as my skin is pretty bad as I suffer from acne. This can just boost any girls confidence making them feel 10x better when they wake up in the morning. My personal favourite is the Rimmel wake me up foundation as it gives a good coverage without being to cakey and just always looks nice and radiant. But if your skin is pretty clear then you could totally skip this part and just use a concealer to cover any redness, imperfections or dark under eye circles.

Price: varies between £5.00 on offers and £8.99 (But I can usually always find it on offer so it's always worth having a look around to save you about £4.00)

Available at:

Superdrug: http://www.superdrug.com/search?q=rimmel+wake+me+up+foundation&searchsubmit=Search
Boots:http://www.boots.com/en/Rimmel-Wake-Me-Up-Make-Up-Foundation-30ml_1246748/
And many supermarkets e.g. Asda, Sainsburys and Morrisons where it is often on offer for about £5.00

Concealer

I love the Collection lasting perfection concealer, it has a very high coverage but doesn't look cakey and blends in really well however, I do find it can be quite drying as I have dry skin but I work with it and it is still amazing.

Price: £4.19

Available at

Boots: http://www.boots.com/en/Collection-2000-Lasting-Perfection-Concealer_984434/
Superdrug: http://www.superdrug.com/collection-2000/collection-2000-lasting-perfection-concealer-4g-medium-3/invt/592102&bklist=

Powder

If you do have an oily face which can get shiny after a few hours with just foundation and concealer on then i would defiantly recommend a powder to set your make up. I use the Rimmel Stay Matter Powder which is just perfect and so affordable for the great job that it does. But if you find that your make up lasts all day regardless then you can totally skip this step!

Price:£3.99

Available at:

Boots: http://www.boots.com/en/Rimmel-Stay-Matte-Pressed-Powder_1015573/
Superdrug: http://www.superdrug.com/search?q=rimmel+stay+matte+powder&searchsubmit=Search
And various supermarkets.

Mascara

My next essential is mascara whether you wear a black, brown or waterproof mascara they really help to make you look more awake. A brown mascara will look a lot more natural if that is the look that you are after. Black looks more dramatic which works at lot better if you are a little bit older and more experienced with make up. I love the Maybelline the Falsies mascara when i want a more intense eye look, but if i want something a little bit more natural the Rimmel Scandal eyes mascara gives more length than volume which is great for everyday.

Maybelline the Falsies
Price: £7.99

Available at:

Boots: http://www.boots.com/en/Maybelline-Falsies-Mascara-Waterproof-Black_1416719/
Superdrug: http://www.superdrug.com/max-factor/maybelline-falsies-mascara-black-drama/invt/839562
Again at many supermarkets

Rimmel Scandal eyes
Price: £6.99

Available at:

Boots: http://www.boots.com/en/Rimmel-London-Scandaleyes-Retro-Glam-Mascara_1364903/
Superdrug: http://www.superdrug.com/eye-make-up/rimmel-scandaleyes-retro-glam-mascara-black/invt/718564
Again at many supermarkets

Blusher

Next I recommend a blusher I love blushers but I think the MUA blushes are great for the price of just, 1.00 I have the shade Bubblegum but if you are just starting out with make up I would not recommend this shade because it is very bright and could look silly if too much of this shade is applied. So I recommend Cupcake and Bon Bon as these are much more natural shades which will be much easier too work with.

Price: £1.00

Available at:

Superdrug:

Cupcake
 http://www.superdrug.com/face-make-up/mua-blusher-cupcake/invt/621700
Bon Bon http://www.superdrug.com/face-make-up/mua-blusher-bon-bon/invt/621699

Brushes

As far as brushes go you do need a brush for your powder and blusher I recommended ELF brushes as they are cheap. But i know that not everybody would be able to order online if they are younger so I would then recommended the real techniques brushes which are a bit more expensive. ELF often have some good sales on I always wait for them to have 50% off site wide before I make a purchase and I do recommend their lip stains and blushes too if you are making an order.

ELF

Blush brush:
Price: £3.75

Real Techniques

Powder brush
Price: £12.99 at boots and £10.99 at superdrug

Superdrug: http://www.superdrug.com/real-techniques-brushes/real-techniques-powder-brush/invt/553259

Lipgloss

Finally onto lips, I defiantly recommend a lip gloss as this will not dry out your lips and can be nice when you are younger. I recommend the Rimmel stay glossy lip glosses my favourite is in the shade Always lovely which is a super natural shade great for everyday.

Available at

Price: £6.29

Boots: http://www.boots.com/en/Rimmel-Stay-Glossy-Lip-Gloss_953480/
Superdrug: (I couldn't find my favourite shade but I know its available in stores)  http://www.superdrug.com/search?q=rimmel+stay+glossy&searchsubmit=Search

Lip balm

However, if you get quite dry lips you could go for a tinted lip balm as an alternative my favourite is the Maybelline baby lips. I love the shade cherry me as it does give a good wash of colour as well as being very moisturising. If your on a real budget you could just use these because they are super cheap and can work just as well as a lip gloss.

Price: £2.99

Available at:

Boots: http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=1365477
Superdrug: http://www.superdrug.com/search?q=maybelline+baby+lips&searchsubmit=Search

Lipstick

If you are after a lipstick then I do like the natural collection range as they are only £1.99 or 3 for £5.00. They give a really nice natural colour without being too crazy pigmented. They last a little while but you may want to re apply these throughout the day. The ones that I own and love are Rose Petal, Rose Bud, Apple Blossom and Pink Mallow. Which are all super natural wearable shades and I would recommend them all.

Price: £1.99 for 1 but 3 for £5.00

Available at:

Boots:  (Can't seem to find a link on line but it is defiantly available in stores)

I have added all of the products up and if you bought a foundation, concealer, powder, mascara, blushers, 2x brushes (blush and powder from elf with delivery of £2.95) lip balm and lipstick I would cost you around £40.59. So these items are not only affordable but great quality too!

So that's it all of my personal make up essentials and list of make up kid for a beginner I hope you enjoyed it and it has helped you to find make up that is affordable to start collecting and wearing make up.

Revlon Lip Butters

I love these lip butters from Revlon they are very moisturising which I like because I often find lipsticks very drying. So not only are these moisturising they given a great colour too, my favourite out of the 3 that I have got is pink parfait. This colour is a pink with gold flecks in it which looks lovely on the lips, I find I can apply these without a mirror too so they are great for on the go! I like that you can either use them for a wash of colour or build it up to have a good pigmentation. They last reasonably long too considering they are just a lip butter and not a lipstick.

 1- Pink Parfait

This is a lovely colour a medium pink with gold sparkles in it.

 2- Strawberry Shortcake

This colour is more of a matte baby pink colour but can look very natural if applied lightly but can be fully built up to completely change the colour of your lips.

3- Crème Brulee

This colour is a very natural colour which smells of caramel and toffee which is soo nice.

Swatches

Left to Right: 1, 2, 3 (first swatch is light and the second is built up a little)

Top to Bottom, 3, 2 ,1.

Collection Fast Stroke Eye liner

This eye liner is great I love it I find it so easy to use, I am not the best at using liquid eye liner but this makes it so much easier. I can get a nice thin even line with this eye liner the brush makes it easy to use. The colour is black and a nice consistency for the price of 2.99 it really is amazing.  I would recommend it to anyone especially people that struggle to get the perfect liquid eye liner. It does come in a waterproof version and a brown version too so if that's what you like then there is different option available. You can buy this from Superdrug or Boots in the UK
